Seal Line Pro™ Pack

Because we do like to stay dry and the rainy and winter-ish season starts soon.

SealLine [a sub-brand of Cascade Designs] is the brand who take cares of your belongings totally pissing of the water. Even if some of you would wish for a slightly different design, this gear is one of those which “I would be buried with”, said one of my buddies which tested it for quite a while.

So, the scrim-reinforced vinyl makes a great job and the dual-strip roll-down seems to be a working enclosure method for a bag. This is the Pro™ Pack, two simple principles with a basic body attachment system… and as a bonus: two side cinch straps for extra compression of the carried volume.

Yes, this is not a blinking new product, but definitively it’s one of those which need to be written down on your “need to have one” list.

Taking Apple outdoor.

Not necessarily that I admire the latest Apple products, but I admire a well made case. This is the case of iPad Defender Series Case [great design] and iPhone 4 Defender Series Case [the hole on the back is horrible], manufactured by Otter Box Company. Finally there is a hope for Apple products to go a bit more outdoor.

Leatherman, september update.

The well known multi-tools manufacturer, Leatherman, prepare an “update” of their Skeleton CX for this september.
The update will be dressed up in a military flavour marketing strategy, some extra stainless steel parts, which make the tool 1-2 cm bigger (what so ever) and 3 times heavier (that’s not funny). But when you pop an eye at the extra tools which are almost 3 times more, it starts to be funny again. Even if they sell it as a military tool which some of us don’t really buy, the Leatherman MUT EOD it is a heavier and more reliable tool made for harder tasks. But if you are more a “happy camper” the Skeleton CX is still enough.
And, let’s not forget about the non Leatherman fans and the fact that the tools are placed on the outside of the multi-tool’s handle, not on the inside as most of the multi-tools manufacturers do. I can’t imagine a pleasant sensation when you grip it with the full power of your hand. Either, they give you free gloves like Apple, with the iPhone 4′s bumper case.

The ultimate cycling machine.

Because we strangle ourselves with trends day by day and some are committing suicide with what is called a fixed gear bicycle (ps: single speed bicycles are not the same with fixed gear), I decided to highlight the simplest cycling device (probably) ever made. You could find more details about Unicycle’s “ultimate wheel” called “nimbus”, here.

I just wait to see London’s bicycle messengers using it. Though is true, the 28 inch version is not so cool.
